Today was not so hot, and it was raining whilst I trawled the car park looking for a space. I eventually found right by the entrance to the building which helped. It was 0815 so I had 3/4 hour to have something to eat.

Yet another NHS Breakfast Special, this time only costing £1.50 rather than the £2.09 which is normally charged. As I was heading into the office today I had my swipe card around my neck, so the cashier thought I qualified for a staff discount. Useful.

Rachel did not think I was coming in until the afternoon, so seemed pleased to see me. It gave me a chance to have a cuddle with Heidi who was content and sleepy. It was really hot again on the ward.

The two other c-sect girls were still in, plus another who had just arrived from a normal birth. Shewas all dressed ready to go out, but did not look to happy anyway.

Later R and the two others went of for breakfast in the Day Room which was nice, as they are all getting mobile again now. One of them was the emergency caesarean, which pushed R onto the PM list.

I headed into work and had to deal with a little chaos. I am now off for two or three weeks, and I needed to get rid of some queries. naturally people were coming up tp chat, but I was not in the best of moods, but eventually caught up with everyone.

Once all done I headed back to the hospital. Heidi had fed well and Claire was there chatting with R. After this Emily, Charlotte and Hannah popped in for a chat, then came Emma. Following Emma came Hayley and we carried on chatting whilst Heidi woke, parped, slept and cried for some food.

There is a rumour that they may be coming home tomorrow and R is happy with that. Fingers crossed that all will be well and we can escape the heat and noise.

I shall sort the house ready for their homecoming in any case and fit the car seat once again.

Photos may be delayed today as my stomach is rumbling....

Great to be reading a blog from you again Tim . Will watch out for more pictures and love your descriptions of NHS breakfasts etc , you must be an expert like no one else ( though I guess Rachel has had more ? )
