I got in today just before Colin and June arrived - Rachel's mum and dad.
I headed off to the restaurant for another breakfast and popped into the shop for a paper, and saw two of our neighbours who were in there for some reason. Gave them an update as they had not heard, though had noted we were not about, and toddled off down the corridor. A short distance later and bumped into Juliette whom I had not seen for quite a few years, and so filled her in with all that had happened.
Heidi has been feeding sporadically today, and a bit unsettled overnight. It seems the two other babies in the ward are a bit finnicky on feeding with one being sick each time and the other not really interested. the midwife explained that the first 24 hours do not matter really and babies will be weighed on Friday. Seems to be different advice to the last time but we will see what happens. Must not get bogged down in the obession on weight equals totally happy baby.....
She has been pooing alot more and is getting windy at times. Hopefully the cloth nappies can be wheeled out sooner rather than later. No Sudocrem or wipes, just water at the moment as it is very frowned-upon I reckon. Same with dummies as well.
She has been sleeping happily too, and prefers a cuddle of course. i think her bedside cot is on an angle too much.
Heidi slept through a thunderstorm this evening, with lightning and thunder overhead, and that is when I headed off to see what was happening at Emily's 18th birthday. Best wet Heidi's head quietly.
